CalcMate privacy policy

CalcMate collects no personal data. The app runs entirely on your device — no account, no login, no personally identifiable information.

The following stays only on your device and is never sent to us:

• App preferences (theme, language, haptics, decimal places)
• History of calculations (stored locally via AsyncStorage)
• My Tools preferences (favorite tools list)
• Default currency preference
• Live rates cache (currency data cached locally)

How long we store your data

All data stored by CalcMate is kept locally on your device only:

• Calculation history: stored until you manually clear it or uninstall the app
• Settings & preferences: stored until you uninstall the app
• My Tools customization: stored until you manually reset or uninstall the app

We do not store any personal data on our servers.

How to delete your data

Option 1: Clear app data
Go to your device Settings → Apps → CalcMate → Storage → Clear Data.
This will delete ALL app data including calculation history, settings & preferences, My Tools customization, and default currency setting.

Option 2: Uninstall the app
Uninstalling CalcMate removes all locally stored data from your device.

Option 3: Clear history manually
Open CalcMate → History tab → tap the delete icon to remove individual entries.

Third-party data
For data collected by third-party services (Google AdMob), Google's data retention policies apply. See the Google Privacy Policy.

CalcMate requests only network access, used solely to fetch live currency rates. It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or storage permissions.

CalcMate shows advertisements via Google AdMob (a banner and occasional interstitial). AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

A one-time in-app purchase removes all ads. See the Google Privacy Policy.

The Currency Converter fetches live exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API. Only your IP address is visible to the API as part of the HTTP request. No personal data is sent.

CalcMate does not use Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, or any analytics or crash-reporting SDK. We do not track how you use the app.

CalcMate does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. It is a general-purpose utility and does not target children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any change is reflected on this page with a new effective date.
